Pssssst!

In a strange turn of events -- okay, it's movie night at school . . . for a cool $50 both my kids can go back to school and watch a movie in their same classrooms with the same classmates and teachers they see everyday.  To say I didn't see the allure is an understatement, but feeling like we can't say no to everything AND knowing the money goes to a good cause, I said yes.

And now I say:  Yipppeeeee!

Because it just occurred to me that my husband and I will be having dinner alone tonight for the first time in ages.

It's a beautiful night.

Steaks on the grill . . .

Potatoes, too.

And mushrooms.

A little wine . . .

And time to eat . . .

And no one to warn.

And . . .

Gotta go!

Get your minds out of the gutter, we have to pick them up at 7:00!

Looks like you are set for a nice romantic evening with your honey.
Enjoy.

Everytime I look at the sidebar at the girl in the bikini showing her butt, I want to pull it up, ya know! Too cute.

It's Friday! Can't they stay with friends?! That sounds good. If Mike and I hadn't had New York Strips on the grill last night, I'd invite myself over...even a little wine sounds good for a Friday night. Thank you for the sweet comment. I gotta say...I try to be the kind of friend I would want. It's good to have people there for you when you need them...and hope for the same in return. Have a wonderful evening and a good weekend, Sweetie.

WOW $50!!?? WORTH it! Hope it's a wonderful, romantic evening - although even sitting in silence could be worth $50 for a night!!

Great idea on the school's part!

Have fun sweetie! It only takes an hour or less to really have some fun when you have a time constraint.
Go for it!....

Dear Renee,

I must say your post did bring a smile as it evoked memories. Not until our children were in their second year in high school did we have dinner by ourselves.

Now they are in college and my wife and I have plenty of time to ourselves.

Wishing you both all the very best,
Egmont

ah but it's after school - not maths and fun !
A bunch of us mums went to see Nanny Mc Phee & we didn't take the kids - we went all by ourselves and it was such fun !
Hope you enjoyed your time out !

Sometimes it's just nice when you get a little bonus time with someone you love!

Even if it was only until 7!

I'll bet that was fun!

I like it when the kids are all elsewhere and we have the house to ourselves.
