Wedding Eve Innocence

Today is my 16th wedding anniversary . . .

My, how times change us.

I still blush with embarrassment when I think of the way I was the night before my wedding day, all those years ago.

So young . . .

So innocent . . .

So uninformed.

I am astounded at how I could have been so naive' back then.

How could I not have known . . .

Not to go to an Italian restaurant for our rehearsal dinner???

To think I knew nothing of water retention back then . . . blows my mind.

How young and innocent and not-bloated I was all those years ago.

Oh, how cruel a teacher time can be . . .

Happy Anniversary! Keep that thought in mind when your child gets married because I'm sure the mother of the bride or groom won't have such a dainty digestive system!

Happy Anniversary!

I just saw your comment over at the Chicken Boys blog and thought I'd say hi.

Five of our hens were chicks last spring, and have only just started laying. The shorter days seem to have put them off, they like more daylight in order to lay (hence why battery hen farms have electric lights on 24/7). I wouldn't worry too much, yours will start when they are ready! I can explain how to check if they are nearly ready to lay if you'd like. I told Bad Penny how and she probably shrieked with laughter, but said she'd give it a go!

And it is possible that one hen is eating the other eggs, they can get like that, but you would see evidence of it as they don't eat the shells!! :)
