Listen, Bub

I know motherhood brings lots of surprises and challenges . . . I know.

But.

A SNOW DAY TWO DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS TRAVEL IS BEYOND ANYTHING GOOD AND KIND AND, WELL, NORMAL!

I don't find it beautiful,
and I don't find it festive,
and I don't find it funny.

And anyone who does think this is funny can join my daughter on the time-out step!

Got it?

Good!

(Please excuse my tone . . . I've found that to be the most effective one here today.)

My almost 15 year old and my almost 12 year old will be joining your daughter in time out. Mine are much too old to be so wound up before a holiday.

I feel your pain.

Wow. I thought it was me for a minute there. Being an uncle who tries to spoil, I forget about those "mom" days. Though, Mike does get flustered with the cats and dogs at times, and has to make them go outside and play for a bit. LOL

Wonder what the deal is today? My 15 and 13 year old are also on the time-out step after bickering while I was on the phone causing me to yell at them while holding the phone away from my yelling mouth then apologizing to my caller who commiserated by saying her son had pushed her over the edge earlier today. Whew! That was a long sentence! Have they forgotten that Santa is coming in just a few days? I'm sure he'd rather haul a couple of lumps of coal instead of the huge pile of presents these mouthy ones are expecting!

Bah Humbug!

It's cold here, too, but not unto snow. If it snowed in Florida, you can bet they would close EVERYTHING. ;-)
